Abstract:
The Kurdish people have been subjected to genocide, Anfal and mass graves throughout the history of the Ba’ath regime, but due to the monopoly of the media, inequality and lack of Kurdish media, these crimes have not been documented and recognized internationally.
The aim of this study is to highlight the role of Kurdish media in documenting the crimes of Anfal and mass graves. and to show the extent of the participation of the media in documenting these crimes by paying attention to evidence, monuments, Anfal survivors and relatives of the victims. In addition to showing the role and methods of effective media coverage about the crimes of Anfal and mass graves.
Also, in the scope of the research to answer the main question of the research whether the Kurdish media has been able to play a role in documenting the crimes of Anfal and mass graves? This field research relies on a survey method to collect data and information using survey forms, as well as conducting interviews with a sample of researchers. In addition to the general framework of the research and the theoretical aspects of the research, it presents some conclusions and recommendations.
